Location:
Altrincham, Manchester


Salary:
£25k - £33k D.O.E


Working Week:
Monday - Friday Full time OFFICE based.

Connections are recruiting on behalf of a world leading operator for exclusive, long-distance rail journeys.

Our philosophy atis to provide fully escorted private rail tours for the adventure traveller who is drawn to the excitement of visiting fabulous,and often, remote destinations but wants to appreciate them in style, comfort and safety.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Account Management of a wide base of international operators and agents maintaining regular communication re: sales targets, commission structure, product updates, product training, product promotion and marketing spend
  • Identify, recruit, develop new and existing operator and agent relationships
  • Representation of the company at appropriate trade and consumer functions and exhibitions
  • Responsible for managing communication during office opening hours with agents and directs through the Live Chat function
  • Manage the follow up correspondence with trade and directs following brochure downloads and incoming enquiries
  • Manage the follow up correspondence with trade and directs regarding clients' future tour indications received via customer questionnaires
  • Input to the production of appropriate Management Information and reports for the Sales Function on a weekly basis ahead of the weekly Sales Meetings and monthly Senior Meetings
  • Assisting with the flow and content of product information via all digital marketing channels (E-Mail, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Blogs)
  • Support the Reservations Manager when required with making bookings on the reservation system and supporting all follow up pretravel and posttravel correspondence
  • Maintaining and updating agent and direct customer databases
  • Monitoring of competitor activity via all sales and marketing channels

Qualifications/Skills::


  • Travel experience or confidence in dealing in highend products preferable
  • Good communication skills
  • Good presentation skills for product training (both in person, remote)
  • Have to be selfmotivated and tenacious, we are a small family business that needs to push larger companies into featuring our product so some experience here would be good
  • Opportunity for travel to experience the product (mainly Europe and Central Asia) which will help with product knowledge and ability to train others effectively
  • Other language not essential but handy
  • Would suit a strong and enthusiastic account executive looking for the next move up.
