We are a long established, hard working, family-run construction company based in Hockley, Birmingham.Due to the ongoing expansion of our business (current turnover of approximately £18m), we are looking to appoint an experienced purchase ledger Accounts Assistant
Hours of work are 7.30am to 4.30pm
Happy to work in an office with a dog
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Reporting to the Finance Manager, main duties and responsibilities;
- Deal with high volume of transactional entries onto Sage 50 Cloud Accounts e.g.
- Match invoices to delivery notes, add to Purchase Order log, distribute to Managers to
- Reconcile monthly supplier statements to sage, follow up queries
- Reconcile monthly credit cards with receipts
- Match weekly fuel invoices to receipts
- Produce petty cash expense forms & enter onto sage
- Support the monthend accounting processes.
- Administrative duties on behalf of the Finance Manager.

Qualifications
- 5 GCSE's or above
Skills and abilities
- Demonstrable strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- High level of organisational skills and experience.
- Skilled in the use of information technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, frequently under pressure, on multiple tasks. A "Cando" attitude.
Experience
- At least two years' experience in financial accounting.
Experience using Sage Line 50 is essential, Excel & Microsoft Office.
