Software Engineer / Software Developer - Remote (UK, work from home)

You will be working with a highly motivated group of intelligent, enthusiastic, adaptable team players who have a shared vision to deliver world class software with great usability and performance.

You will have access to the very latest technologies for stream processing, container orchestration, visualisation and more, in a modern, multi-tenant cloud-native architecture.

You will be encouraged to leverage and contribute to open source projects which align with business goals in a culture of positivity.

You will have a few years of commercial work experience as a programmer, ready for your next challenge.

We need you to be an intelligent programmer with an understanding of best practice, a drive towards software craftsmanship and a passion for technology.

You will work with C# here but chose your own set-up and environment, able to use the operating system andIDEs of your choice.

You might currently be working with another language but will show us your aptitude, attitude and desire to learn quickly, in which case we don't care.

Technologies you'll need to know or learn:
Modern cross platform C# (.NET 6.0 onwards)
Containers (Kubernetes, Docker)
Serverless (Functions)
Message protocols (AMQP, Kafka, HTTP)
Unit and integration testing (XUnit)
Databases (SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Influx, Elastic)
Monitoring (Grafana)
CI / CD (Azure DevOps)
Cloud (Azure)

Your nice to have interests:
Watching any of the following sports; Soccer, Tennis, American Football, Cricket, Basketball, Ice Hockey, Baseball
Scripting / recreational programming
Snowboarding

You'll join a team of 10+ brilliant technical minds, all working together to deliver innovative and complex solutions for high-profile customers.

You will work from home anywhere in the UK, though the team do meet up no more than once a month (probably London), usually for high level planning or team building sessions such as indoor snowboarding and escape rooms.

Salary is around £50k
- £55k depending on your experience, plus a flexible holiday allowance.
