PMO Officer


Eden Brown Synergy is currently working in partnership with a Public Sector Organisation in Yorkshire which is looking to recruit a PMO Officer on a permanent basis.

The post holder will join a newly formed PMO function which aims to support the delivery of various projects / programmes of work within the organisation.


You will:


  • Support the creation and implementation of robust programme governance processes, including the establish of project and programme gateway reviews, auditing and quality assurance checks of programme and project documentation and effective programme and portfolio board operation.
  • Have responsibility for the coordination and monitoring of programme level risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring adequate mitigating action is taken by project and programme teams and concerns are escalated to the boards in a timely manner.
  • Have responsibility for the design and ongoing production of programme level dashboards and status reports for the portfolio board and the Edinburgh Integration Joint Board. This will involve close working with project and programme managers to ensure individual project status reporting is accurate, comprehensive and timely.
  • Support accurate and effective financial and budget auditing, monitoring and reporting at a programme level.

Qualifications Required:


  • Qualifications or training in project or programme management methodologies or significant relevant experience
  • Experience supporting a PMO within a large complex public sector organisation
  • Significant experience of working within transformation and business change
  • Ability to ensure that programme decisions are aligned to Business plan and Medium-Term Financial Plan outcomes


This role is a permanent role paying between £35-£40,000 per annum and will be hybrid with 3 days required on site.
