Restructuring & Insolvency Associate / Senior Associate (4–6 PQE)London | Leading City Firm
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Restructuring & Insolvency Associate or Senior Associate (circa 4–6 PQE) to join a growing London-based team within a well-regarded City firm.
This is a rare opportunity to join a lean, ambitious practice where you will work directly with a highly experienced and personable partner, gaining significant responsibility, client exposure and the opportunity to help shape the future direction of the team.
The team advises on a broad range of restructuring and insolvency matters, with a stronger focus on non-contentious, transactional work (approximately 60/40 split between non-contentious and contentious).
You can expect exposure to:
Transactional restructuring and insolvency mandates
Advisory work for lenders, shareholders and corporates
Retail sector restructurings
Real estate-related restructuring matters (a key growth area)
Cross-border work alongside leading advisory firms
Complex, technical instructions arising from other specialist teams within the firm
The role offers meaningful client contact and the opportunity to run matters with appropriate supervision.
The firm is open-minded on PQE level (circa 4–6 years) and is more focused on experience and mindset than strictly year count.
You will ideally:
Have strong transactional restructuring and insolvency experience
Be confident managing clients and handling matters with increasing autonomy
Demonstrate commercial awareness and sound technical grounding
Be motivated to contribute to business development and the growth of a developing practice
Thrive in a smaller team environment where visibility and initiative are key
Applications from non-UK qualified lawyers with relevant common law experience will be considered.
