The role

The difference our new Cardiff Co-Pilot will make


As a Cardiff Co-Pilot, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary, providing mission-critical helicopter services to the air ambulance, police, and offshore sectors.


Our fleet of 30 helicopters from bases across England, Wales and Scotland has been providing dedicated air ambulance and police support for more than 20 years.

BMCSO constantly invests in new aircraft, equipment and training to ensure the consistent capability to deliver safe, dependable, operational excellence at all times.

Headquartered in Staverton, Gloucestershire, BMCSO is a leading provider of aviation services for mission-critical operations across ten countries.

Essential experience

Essential:

  • Within a distance of 25 miles or 45 minutes from the Cardiff base.
  • Hold a UK ATPL(H) or CPL(H) + IR
  • Fluent English, Driving License, Passport, Right to Work in the UK.

Ideally:

  • 1000hrs rotary flying experience
  • Have multi pilot experience
  • Have recent multi engine experience
  • Be qualified and instrument rated on the EC14
  • Have current or recent HEMS experience.
  • Have experience of NVIS operations.
