We have an immediate requirement for a Junior Graduate Safety Officer working with our client, a provider of mechanical installation services.
This role involves travel to multiple sites weekly across the Kildare, Dublin, and Belfast regions.This is an initial 12-month contract role with the potential for permanency.
Responsibilities:
- Conducted regular site audits/inspections across multiple client locations to ensure Health and Safety compliance to Company and Client procedures/rules.
- Advise and instruct on various safetyrelated topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.).
- Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.
- Assist in the initiation and organization of Health and Safety training of employees and executives.
- Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or nonconformity (e.g. not using protective equipment.
- Manage, develop, and maintain incident reporting and near misses and follow up actions, identifying root causes and implementing changes to prevent reoccurrences.
- Reviewing the SWP's (Safe Work Plans) for the tasks on site.
- Carry out Inductions and Toolbox talks as required.
Requirements:
- Hold a recognised qualification in Health and Safety.
- Full driver's license.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling.
- Experience in manufacturing environments would be beneficial.
- Ability to work on own initiative and be innovative.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland
