Machine Shop Manager to join the team.

Asgard is a leading subcontract component manufacturer specialising in the production of high precision CNC turned parts. We are currently looking for an experienced machine shop manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of our machine shop.

Machine Shop Manager - Key Responsibilities:

• Developing production plans to meet promised delivery dates
• Ensuring that materials, tooling and programmes are in place to meet production requirements
• Overseeing the operation of the machine shop to ensure parts are manufactured to the required quality standards and timescales
• Managing works orders to cover customer and stock orders in a timely manner
• Managing, training and developing a small team of CNC operators
• Ability and willingness to programme and run machines as and when necessary

Machine Shop Manager - You:

• Time served, skilled engineer with strong knowledge of CNC turning/milling and engineering principals
• Experience of working with sliding head machines
• Experience of programming FANUC and/or Mitsubishi controls
• Experience of managing or supervising a team
• Strong leadership skills
• Good communicator
• Able to work as part of a team
