We have the following job opportunities become available at Coventry for our maintenance department.

Multi skilled maintenance technician - electrically bias x2

Multi Skilled maintenance technician - mechanically bias x1

Terms and conditions for all roles are the same, job description attached

Contract type - Perm

Salary - £17.49 per hour, shift allowance £127.15 per week

Hours per week

Shifts - Am Shift

Monday - Thursday 06:00 - 14: minute lunch break)

Friday 06:00 - 12: minute break) (Work 36.5)

Pm Shift

Monday - Thursday 14:00 - 22:00 (20 minute lunch break)

Friday 12:00 - 18: minute break) (Work 36.5)

Nightshift

Monday - Thursday 22:00 - 06:00 (20 minute lunch break)

Friday 18:00 - 00: minute break) (Work 36.5)

Holiday - 36 days holiday per year but required to work between Christmas/New Year, shut downs and bank holidays

Ø Working as an integral part of a team.

Ø Increasing machine uptime.

Ø Operating lean manufacturing techniques.

Ø Planning and supporting 5s activities.

Ø Implementing Planned Maintenance (PM) Programmes.

Ø Housekeeping e.g. machine refurbishments

Ø Participating in the internal multi-skilling programme.

Ø Supporting the manufacturing function.

Ø Carry out maintenance tasks in a timely manner to an acceptable standard.

Ø Reporting to production supervisors for breakdown and completion hand over.

Ø Co-ordinate activities for the other engineers and contractors engaged on engineering support projects.

Ø Responsibility for all related aspects of EHS.

Ø Identify and improve productivity opportunities through continuous improvement initiatives that are engineering related.

Ø To provide specific support for engineering projects.

Ø To provide technical expertise for FMEA.

Ø To offer support for problem solving activities taking place on site.

The successful applicant must have served a recognized engineering apprenticeship within a manufacturing engineering environment.

They will also have several years experience of working on modern machine tools, with PLC/CNC electrical and electronic controlsystems, and should also have a sound working knowledge of modern pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components.

Essential

  • Time served apprenticeship
  • Work experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years engineering experience.

Desirable

  • HNC
  • Experience of lean manufacturing techniques.

System or Knowledge
Essential

  • Excel and Word
  • PLC interrogation experience
  • Capable of working with Microsoft office packages.
  • PLC, Robotics, Hydraulic and pneumatic control.
  • Mechanical engineering.
  • Electrical engineering.
  • CNC knowledge

Desirable

  • Frontline maintenance system
