Description

We are looking for someone with energy and ideas who can make creative and compelling radio and podcasts.

You will have a deep knowledge of at all aspects of media and culture and will have finely tuned journalistic skills.

You will be a curious person and enjoy finding and telling impactful stories - in one form or another - and understand what it takes to do it well.

You will have the curiosity and tenacity to find the stories behind the headlines and want to tell them in new and interesting ways.

You should be comfortable with editing software and have the confidence to bounce ideas off a team and be enthusiastic about radio broadcasting.

Duties and responsibilities:

Content Development:

Generate creative ideas for promotions and events.

Collaborate with teams to develop compelling on-air content.


Campaign Planning and Execution:

Plan and execute promotional campaigns aligned with station objectives.

Monitor and evaluate campaign success, adjusting strategies as needed.


Scriptwriting and Production:

Write scripts for promotions, commercials, and station imaging.

Oversee the production process for high-quality content.


Collaboration with On-Air Talent:

Work with on-air talent to enhance content quality.

Facilitate creative workshops for the team.


Event Planning:

Contribute to planning and executing station events.

Ensure a consistent station presence at external events.


Brand Consistency:

Uphold the station's brand identity in all content.

Ensure alignment with the target demographic.


Research and Analytics:

Research audience preferences and industry trends.

Analyze performance metrics for content improvement.


Skills and Qualifications:

Degree/Postgraduate level qualifications in media, journalism, IT or project management background.

Knowledge of the radio station broadcasting, particularly in the podcasting and social media space

Proven track record of creating high quality, evidence-based media content

Research skills and experience, with an ability to quickly identify and disseminate appropriate research literature and potential expert contributors.

Experience of managing a team.

Experience in managing a programme within a budget.

Audio recording and editing skills - including experience of creating, managing and delivering multi-track audio projects.

Hours: 40 hours per week


Salary:
£30,000 per annum
