My client has been trading since 1978 and was first incorporated in 1980. The company initially carried out safety barrier, bridge parapets and general fencing works. Later in 2006, we added the capability to provide slip formed safety barriers and concretedrainage channels.

The company is currently looking for a Site Manager with experience working in the highways sector.

As a site manager you will be responsible for looking after the team's on site, as well as liaising with the clients.

You could also be monitoring costs andbudget, and ordering materials for the project.

My client is looking for a Freelance Site Manager who will work the night shifts on the A1 project in area 12.


The job role of a site manager involves the following duties:

  • Liaising with clients and reporting on progress to staff and the public
  • Supervising construction workers and hiring subcontractors
  • Buying materials for each phase of the project
  • Monitoring build costs and project progress
  • Conducting quality and safety inspections
  • Checking and preparing site reports, designs, and drawings
  • Maintaining quality control checks
  • Motivating the workforce
  • Day to day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise
  • Using specialist project management computer programmes
  • Working onsite in all weathers, at clients' businesses or in a site office.

What you will need:


  • Civil engineering project experience.
  • Experience Site Manager.
  • Highways experience.
A levels, or equivalent (undergraduate degree).

  • Highways Passport
  • CSCS
  • SSSTS/SMSTS
