FTC Family Leave cover for 12 months

Start Date:
May 2023 to June 2024


Hours:

Full time (34.5 hours), we are open to a conversation about how you work these hours whether that is over 5 full days, or a condensed flexible working pattern.


Location:

Either full time in our London office or you can split your time between home and our London Office.

Approx. 1 to 2 days in the office a week.

We are more about output rather than where you work, so we will be flexible on working location to suit you and your business area.


Salary:
For dual location or London based roles salary range £63,000 to £69,000


We have an exciting opportunity to come and join our new People and Culture function at Macmillan Cancer Support for 12 months covering for one of our People and Culture Partners going on family leave in May.


This role will provide senior business partnering and people leadership support and challenge to the senior leaders in the Technology Directorate.

You will be responsible for co-developing and leading a data-driven, commercial, future focused people plan that is aligned to the strategy for your area working with the HR centre of excellence's and wider stakeholders where necessary.


Why now and why us?


We have recently been through a design led change and are due to launch a new People and Culture function within our HR division, this merges key capability and requirements from the HR Business Partnering, Organisational Design and EDI functions.

These teams have delivered brilliantly for our people during the last 2 years, but now is the time to build a function fit for what our people and leadership teams need for the future.


Key areas of focus will be:

  • Driving an inclusive organisation and fostering an organisation where everyone feels safe and able to be themselves in order for them to thrive and succeed.
  • Driving Organisational Effectiveness through brilliant business savvy OD&D activity
  • Developing our people analytical capability and using this to influence change and people activity


Our preference is for a start date in May so that the incoming individual can have a handover with the current team member going on family leave.

However we are open to a conversation with others who are not available as early as May.


About you

We are looking for a strategic people partner who can bring expert advice, challenge and influence based on experience and capability to our senior leadership teams.

individual who has experience as working as a HR professional business partnering with senior business leaders.

  • You will have been involved in people led decision making and have been able to influence in a challenging environment.
  • You will be comfortable working naturally with OD&D activity and be able to quickly build stories around data and insights with impact.
  • You will have an active external network and enjoy keeping up to date with external people themes and insights.
