Job Summary:


Set and operate the press brake machines and support the production team by assembling parts, operating other machinery, and punching or sorting of metal products as instructed by supervisors.

Produce a variety of parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the engineered drawings. This position may include all or some of the duties and responsibilities listed below. You will sometimes be required to work in other areas of the factor.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities:


  • Set and operate the Amada Press Brakes and other machinery used in the production process, or assist other machine operators.
  • Select proper punches and dies based on material thickness and type.
  • Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
  • Determine if tools are undamaged and in a safe condition for use.
  • Work in a fastpaced environment with fastchanging priorities.
  • Keep work area clean and organised.
  • Follow all company rules and policies.
  • Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
  • Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
  • Work with team members to maximise productivity and efficiency.
  • Uphold all ISO standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
  • Consistently produce a usable product that meets the dimensional specifications of the engineered drawings.
  • Logging on/off the MIE ERP system as required.
  • Attend work on the shift times established by the employer and without excessive absenteeism or lateness.
  • Arrive and be ready to work at the time your shift starts.
  • Ensure quantities are adhered to and take care with product counts.
  • Always wear supplied and appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Work a reasonable amount of overtime when requested.

Rate:
Up to £15.00 per hour depending on experience.

Working 07:30am - 16:20pm Mon - Thurs with a 13:45pm finish on Friday.
