A major Insurance organisation with a very strong market reputation for Wordings excellence is looking to recruit another experienced and talented
Wordings Specialist into their team.


You will ensure contract certainty and put the interests of clients and the integrity of the market at the heart of the way you do business.

Your expertise will be in drafting Liability Wordings, often from scratch and across complex International risks.


Also you'll be able to use your expertise with other team members and especially to support the Brokers who you'll work closely with to support their clients.

This is a role that encourages hybrid working between the office and your home.


As Wordings Specialist your main responsibilities will include:

  • Detailed understanding of the structure, content of Casualty contract Wordings.
  • Drafting of contract Wordings and recommendations for amendments.
  • Assistance with the negotiation of contract Wordings with Insurers.
  • Providing technical training and technical advice on Wordings related matters.
  • Review of Market Reform Contracts (Slip/MRCs), as required.
  • Resolve contract wordings queries from Clients, Brokers and Insurers.

To be successful as a Wordings Specialist you will demonstrate:

  • Good understanding of Insurance and Insurance contract law.
  • Indepth understanding of the Liability Wordings and standard clauses.
  • Understanding of MRC/slip construction and content.
  • Ability to turn Insurance coverage requirements into clear, unambiguous and accurate written wording/policy documentation.
