Description
Our client is a large housing association based in Cumbria. This role can be based in Carlisle or Workington.


Background

This role could be the ideal career opportunity for you if you have previously worked as a HR Officer or Coordinator and are looking for a new challenge.

You will work alongside the rest of the people team to deliver support on all HR related issues within a specific part of the organisation.


Main Purpose

  • Provide a comprehensive HR and payroll support service to management and employees.
  • Support the HR Manager in the implementation of HR initiatives and systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide a HR support service across the organisation.
  • Support line managers with recruitment.
  • Maintain up to date job descriptions and person specifications.
  • Ensure Right to Work and DBS checks are conducted as necessary.
  • Support line managers with leaver processes including arranging exit interviews.
  • Support the HR Manager in coordinating training and development.
  • Monitor attendance and support the HR Manger in implementing absence management strategies.
  • Support the HR Manager in implementing wellbeing strategies.
  • Supporting with payroll processes including providing accurate payroll data, administrating employee benefits and acting as a first point of contact for payroll queries

Person specification

  • Experience working at this level in a HR Department is essential for this role.
  • Experience in the housing, construction or similar sector
  • Ideally CIPD Qualified
  • Up to date knowledge of current employment legislation
