The role will involve you working closely with various departments in the business, having regular meetings with senior management and exposure to Board level staff.

What We Need from Yü:


Here's a taste of what you'll be doing:

  • Supporting the BU Retail FC in managing the monthly debt accounting and reporting process including month end close and balance sheet control across all Retail Business Unit entities (Elec, Gas and Water)
  • Preparation of debt analysis and MI packs
  • Improvement and innovation of all debt processes, including identification of automation opportunities
  • Monthly journal preparations to ensure accuracy of reporting month results
  • Analysis of key variances, providing commentary to the, BU Retail FC, FP&A Manager and beyond
  • Completion of key balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly KPI and debt insight analysis for inclusion in Board packs
  • Attendance at key debt forums. Owner of financial truth in relation to reported debt and operational impacts on reported debt balance
  • Work at pace and have the ability to prioritise multiple deadlines
  • Perform adhoc tasks and analysis to meet the needs of the business
  • Collaborate with the organisation and forge strong relationships with key stakeholders across the different functions

  • Qualified you will be a fully or part qualified/qualified by experience accountant or debt/credit specialist
  • Knowledgeable you are technically strong with working experience of B2B debt processes and managing the preparation of monthly insight to strict deadlines

  • Skilled excellent MS excel skills are required
