Role:
Head of Operations and Maintenance
Location:
Hybrid - South and South-West England
Salary:
circa £64,737 per annum
Role Type:
Fixed-Term Contract until 31st March 2024 / Full-Time, 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Role Responsibilities:
- Championing and monitoring a Health, Safety, Compliance and Wellbeing culture across your region
- Leading a team of O&M employees to deliver complex maintenance plans across your region
- Ownership, control and delivery of a c£3m OpEx budget
- Obtaining and maintain customer satisfaction and managing customer escalations where required
- Ensuring productivity is maximised and that continuous improvements are identified and implemented
- Level 3 standby rota commitments for out of hours operational management cover
- Deputising for the Operations Director when required
- Consulting with colleagues across the business and building strong working relationships
Essential Skill, Knowledge and Experience:
- Extensive wastewater treatment experience within a similar role or environment
- Demonstrable understanding and experience of H&S practices to include managing contractors (IOSH qualified or equivalent)
- Sound understanding of technical water industry experience including water and wastewater operations and asset management
- Strong leadership and line management experience and ability to successfully coach, manage and develop your team
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally
- Skilled with developing and maintain strong relationships to establish reliability and credibility
- Experience of delivering operational requirements to meet challenging targets and deadlines through organisation and prioritisation of workload to ensure compliance with set standards and contractual requirement
- Excellent presentation and report writing skills with the ability to adapt the messages and style as needed
- Commercial awareness and contract understanding of cost impact to the business
About you:
- You must have a valid driving licence and be comfortable driving to different sites regularly. There will also be overnight stays.
