Due to continued success, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Business Development Manager to join the Northern Europe sales team.


The BDM for the UK&I and BeNeLux markets is the Sepura face to our customers and will be responsible for today's TETRA revenues but lay the foundations for the future of the business as we transition to broadband devices and services.

Your Role

Your Day to Day
There is no such thing as a typical day here at Sepura. You will be supported by your manager and team, as well as collaborating with other departments across the business.

The business development manager activities will include:

  • Ownership and execution of a sales strategy for the Sepura business to our UK, Ireland and BeNe public safety customers.
  • Develop a strong engagement with our End Customers (and if appropriate Channel Partner(s)) in the territory to position Sepura as the primary public safety brand for mission critical devices whether this is TETRA or broadband.
  • Be responsible for selling the portfolio to achieve or exceed sales targets delivering positive margin contributions in line with company goals.
  • Establishing peertopeer relationships with senior decision makers the customer organisations
  • Ensure opportunities are forecasted to ensure financial targets are achieved
  • Establishing and maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • To successfully prospect for new sales business and ensure that the optimal route to market is identified.
  • Work with appropriate product manager in PSG to ensure customer requirements are identified and manage customer expectations.
  • Support brand development in partnership with marketing
This job involves travelling throughout UK, Ireland, Belgium, Holland, and Luxembourg and may require some international travel. The successful applicant will have a full, clean driving licence and their own car (company will provide car allowance). All reasonable travel expenses compliant with the Company Travel Expenses Policy will be paid. It is expected that up to 8 nights overnight stays per month will be required.

The BDM will be required to gain SC clearance, and this is a mandatory requirement of the role.


What you need to succeed

Qualifications
- _Qualified to Degree level with relevant end customer experience._

Experience and Skills

_Industry_
- _5 years minimum sales experience and track record of success in communications equipment, technology sales or customer facing role in providing PMR solutions_
- _A demonstrably thorough understanding of the PMR market_
- _Familiarity of narrow band technologies_

_Personal_
- _Customer first, can do attitude and a passion for the role_
- _Self-motivated in challenging environments with ability to think laterally and to devise successful strategies_
- _Understanding of tendering process and developing a win strategy_
- _Competitive for winning business whilst being a team player._

_Organisational Skills_
- _Consultative and creative approach to selling and problem solving_
- _Ability to take ownership of tasks and work on own initiative and under pressure to meet customer and company deadlines._
- _Able to organise and effectively manage customer meetings_
- _Clear communicator, persuasive and confident individual with good presentation skills_
- _Good time management and planning skills._
- _Ability to organise, direct and utilise virtual sales teams and resources_
- _Competent with Microsoft Office suite of software_
- _Willing to spend time away from home when the business requires it._

Qualifications
- _Masters degree in commercial discipline_
- _Miller Heiman trained_

Experience and Skills
- _Good understanding of the public safety market sector and the key operational requirements_
- _Familiarity of broadband technologies_
- _LTE and Broadband experience_
- _Establishing peer-to-peer relationships with senior decision makers - internally and externally_
- _Situation aware and able to ensure personal safety_
