We are working with a rapidly developing Housing Provider based in Bedfordshire, who are currently recruiting for an Accountant on a permanent basis.


Our client is proud to offer a friendly and honest service to its customers, as well as providing a positive and forward-thinking approach to work, enabling employees to nurture their full potential.


The position is due to start as soon as possible on a full time basis and is offering a salary range from £45,000 - £50,000, depending on experience.


Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Responsible for preparing monthly management reporting and projected outturns, and maintaining cash flow
  • Distributing financial reports to budget holders and the Leadership Team on a timely basis, and contributing to budget preparation
  • Overseeing service charge calculations and preparing annual rent calculations.
  • Overseeing maintenance of fixed asset registers and advising on meeting lender's covenants and other business criteria
  • Responsible for preparing annual statutory year end accounts
  • Adhering to the organisation's policies and procedures, including health and safety, fairness, and business continuity planning
  • Understanding, maintaining, and updating the Financial Regulations, and supporting the improvement of financial understanding within the organisation

Experience and skills required:


  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualification
  • Experience working within the Social Housing sector or similar public sector
  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts
  • Intermediate Excel skills
