Associate Director, Wealth Planning Operations (London)


What is the opportunity?


You will be instrumental to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of Wealth Planning Operations, leveraging existing digital capabilities of XPLAN and providing wider operational and administrative support, to include the production of suitability reports, across the Wealth Planning operations team.


What will you do?

  • Become an expert user of XPLAN and identify how the system can be further developed to assist wealth planning objectives.
  • Be the go to person for the wealth planning business for XPLAN queries and training.
  • Reviewing and optimising client workflows and threads and cases in XPLAN
  • Drive the use of XTOOLS including presenting live to clients.
  • CommPay administration
  • Oversee day to day activities, identify gaps and errors in the data and assist in taking appropriate steps
  • Assist in selection and on boarding of life assurance, VCT/EIS/BR, SIPP providers and update and maintain relevant terms of business (within Xplan)
  • Completion of supplier risk management assessment requests for new partner companies working in partnership with risk and IT
  • Collate and maintain information and documents required to support the advice team in providing compliant advice
  • Support Para planner with advice letters, detailed reports and financial plans making use of cash flow modelling tool
  • Ensure all client files remain compliant
  • Assist in the processing of and successful implementation of all clients' affairs and liaise with clients and relevant internal teams to ensure smooth management of product delivery

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Experience of working within financial services in a support or operations role
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • A passionate problem solver, bringing solutions, making recommendations and driving implementation of agreed approach
  • Ability to work independently, manage workflow and delegate
  • Team player with the necessary interpersonal skills to build professional relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Nice-to-have

  • Experience training others
  • Knowledge of Xplan whether on client side or vendor side
  • Use of cash flow modelling within holistic financial planning, and dealing with high net worth clients
  • Understanding of formulas data handing within Excel preferred (not essential)
