Location:
Home working, with occasional attendance at the London office (quarterly), ability to travel regularly across regions to network and attend meetings (min 1x a week)


Salary:
£48,237 (UK), £52,482 for those living in London and surrounding counties

Having just secured a number of new contracts across the UK this is new role within GamCare that will assist in shaping the existing services and embedding new ways of working across the regions.

A pivotal operational senior management role within GamCare, you will implement recent service delivery changes, following these new commissioning arrangements, as well as lead on growth and development, while ensuring the continuous delivery of effective, well led services.


The postholder will be responsible for not only developing and maintaining high quality activity aligned with GamCares aims and values but will also work to evoke systems change across the regions we serve, by engaging with key internal stakeholders, external providers, commissioners and other external partners, in order to improve the experience and journey of the system and make a sustainable impact in the lives of individuals impacted by gambling harms.


Main Responsibilities

  • Providing strong leadership and guidance to regional service managers, including conducting performance evaluations, recruiting, and training effectively, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Supporting managers in developing strategic operational plans while ensuring understanding and achievement of KPIs and GamCare's strategic aims.
  • Ensuring managers comply with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures, and support their understanding of regional prevalence data.
  • Developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver excellence and establishing partnerships with regional alliance partners.
  • Contributing to the development and review of competency frameworks and mandatory training and providing regular reports on service strategic processes.
  • Overseeing expenditure planning and monitoring across regional services, aligning spend with GamCare and commissioner expectations and conducting reviews of actual and forecasted expenses.
You will be experienced of and have a proven track record of operational leadership and management.


You can demonstrate your experience of developing and performance managing services, ideally gained from working as a manager with vulnerable cohorts such as, gambling, mental health, substance misuse, criminal justice, domestic abuse/safeguarding or homelessness/housing.

You will have experience of managing commissioned contracts with ambitious KPIs, building relationships with partners and key stakeholders and good knowledge of safeguarding adults and children.


Ideally you will also have experience managing outreach and engagement activity across large geographical areas, both face to face and remotely and understand best practice in doing this, being able to identify and act on opportunities as they arise in order to raise GamCares profile and increase the number of referrals into the services.


You will be a people person and have a breadth of experience surrounding the range of performance management and embedding quality assurance systems.

Highly developed in negotiating skills and ability to manage change.


Lastly you will be skilled at being and creating an atmosphere of calm, proactive, solution focussed and understand how to get the best out of diverse passionate teams.
