An exciting opportunity has arisen to join this FTSE-listed transport organisation as Investor Relations Analyst, reporting to the Head of IR.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Help develop, draft and manage all shareholderrelated materials (including market announcements, Annual Report, results presentations, speeches and other investor materials, including the IR section of the corporate website) in line with best practice andthe evolving needs of shareholders (including ESGfocused investors)
  • Assist in managing, planning and executing a comprehensive IR programme to build a strong investor base, including roadshows, site visits and other events
  • Help respond to incoming queries from investors/ analysts in a timely, accurate and thoughtful manner, liaising with colleagues including senior divisional management across the Company
  • Maintain and interrogate database of analysts' forecasts and valuation consensus; critically assess analysts' research and provide regular feedback to senior management on consensus
  • Market intelligence gathering including trading in the Company's shares, sector news and competitor analysis; contribute to reports to the Board and throughout the Company
  • Monitor peer group IR activity, industry best practice and key issues affecting investors including macroeconomic trends to contribute new ideas to the Company's IR activities
  • Develop the capabilities and knowledge over time to support senior management in investor and analyst meetings.

Team Responsibilities:


  • Ensure the Company's strategy, performance and key messages are effectively and consistently communicated to investors, analysts and other stakeholders, ensuring transparency and understanding in the market
  • Manage and deliver the Company's financial calendar events (results, trading updates, ad hoc regulatory announcements, capital markets days, etc) as well as the Annual Report (in conjunction with other departments)
  • Deliver an effective investor relations programme (including investor targeting, roadshow management, feedback and responding to questions from analysts and investors)
  • Manage in-house analyst consensus and provide timely updates to senior management
  • Participate in and contribute to investor-related corporate finance activities including M&A processes, as well as ongoing defence and activism preparedness plans
  • Work closely with external advisors, comms colleagues across the Company to ensure consistent messaging through multiple channels to a wide range of internal and external audiences.

  • To maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the Group's objectives and business plans.
  • Access to IR Society membership and the Society's IR training courses will be provided
  • To establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues throughout the Group.
