The role:

As a People Advisor based at Manchester Airport, you will be a key member of the People Team.

Working closely with our People Partners, you will support the operational areas to see we provide a best-in-class people service where some of your duties will include:


  • Working closely with our business leaders, coaching them and building trusted relationships to enable them to be the best that they can be.
  • Responsibility for supporting managers with generalist advice, policy support, employee relations, including case management.
  • Providing excellent advice, coaching and guidance on all people related issues.
  • Ensuring processes are adhered to in line with employment law.
  • Ensuring people are at the heart of the processes and policies we work with.
  • Engaging with our onsite union representatives, supporting in meetings and helping maintain our relationship.
  • Providing accurate data and statistics in a clear, concise format.
  • Maintaining and producing reports through accurate record keeping.


This is an exciting time to join Manchester Airport as we are on track to deliver our Best Summer Ever, where you will be able to get involved in some big transformation and expansion projects across the airport.


What will make you successful in this role?
You will be passionate about people and love working in an environment where every day is different.

To be successful in this role you will possess the following:


  • Experience of operating in a People Advisor role, or in a similar capacity.
  • A great team player, with a cando approach.
  • An effective communicator, able to quickly build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A great working knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
  • An employee relations expert, capable of managing challenging, complex and most of all interesting cases.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering first class customer service.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft packages including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Teams.
  • Previous experience of working with Trade Unions is highly desirable but not essential.
