Total Community Care are part of the City and County Healthcare Group in are currently looking to expand their fantastic team of Support Workers/ Care Assistants in your area.


You'll either be an enthusiastic person with plenty of patience looking for a career change to bring new life and experiences into our service or you'll be an experienced Support Worker/ Care Assistant with a background in complex, emotional or behaviouralsettings looking for a change and wanting to be part of a team that will make a difference to
young people or Adults with complex needs to give them new opportunities in their life both at home and in the community.


We support all difference types of people with Motor Neurone Disease, Muscular dystrophy, Spinal Cord, acquired brain injuries and other complex needs that may include a physical disability, who would like support either on a 24-hour basis within their ownhomes or to access the community on daily basis dependent on their needs and wishes.


You'll receive ongoing Nurse led training and support from a dedicated Manager plus the opportunity to undertake a qualification in health and social care funded by City and County plus so much more when you join.

The Role


This role involves supporting a client in their own home who has a Mitochondrial disorder a rare metabolic disorder, you will be working within the principles of person-centred support, enabling development and inclusion in their everyday lives within theirhome and wider community.

The work is varied & you will be taking the client out for social outings in the community.

You'll be supporting the service user with some general household chores such as cooking, laundry, and delivering personal care assistingwith bathing, toileting and feeding.
