A specialist SEN school situated in Mosley, Birmingham are looking to recruit a Support worker to work in its as SEN Teaching assistant in within
' A safe, welcoming learning community'.

This position would initially be a temporary contract with the potential for a permanent position following the feedback from the school.

This is an Ofsted 'good' graded school whichcarries an excellent reputation in its local community with its excellent relationships with pupils and staff.

The school supports pupils with a wide range of complex needs including Autism Spectrum Condition, which leads to interaction or communication difficulties.

The school are looking to employ an individual who aligns with the schools' values of aiding childrenand young people to make progress and reach their full potential.

The available positions will involve working in both a 1:1 environment with pupils who have Autism and complex needs, and within small groups, so we are ideally looking for Support workers who have experience: adapting to the specific needs of individuals,drive to make learning fun and enjoyable, and significant experience working with children or adults who have additional and complex needs would be favourable when joining the team.

Training will be provided upon appointment for the role. The class is desiredas a "wonderful class" and would thrive with the guidance of a great teaching assistant.


The ideal Support worker for this SEN Teaching assistant position will have:

Experience working with individuals with SEN in any capacity:

Experience working within a Care or Residential Sector:

Moving and handling training and experience operating a hoist (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
