Description

Our client is looking for a competent Senior Electrical Engineer/Controls Engineer to manage the electrical department and to carry out all electrical/controls design.

The Senior Electrical Engineer must be experienced and qualified in electrical design to produce electrical schematics and PLC control panel schematics/drawings.

This role would be based at their site near Huddersfield with some travel to customer sites (typically max. 10% of time on site).

Responsibilities:

Design electrical/controls both standard designs and contract specific designs for each project, including designs for USA, Canada and other geographic regions
Management/supervision of the electrical team carrying out control panel wiring, equipment wiring and control panels and equipment testing, including PLC controls and software
Management of outsourced control panel build
Site support site work as required
Other tasks as directed
Have a good knowledge of Simens PLC, Allan Bradley would be advantageous.
Knowledge of electrical design of wiring schematics/control panels.
Knowledge of AutoCAD.
Experience managing a team of electrical technicians.
