New Spring Family Residential Centres provide care and support for up to 5 vulnerable families at each Centre in Preston and Blackpool.

There are positions available at the Blackpool Centre, Acorn House to join the team on Nights. Full time posts are worked over 3 nights ( part time worked over 2 nights) on a rolling rota. Bank hours are available at both Blackpool and Preston sites


Essential requirement of this post is to hold NVQ Level 3 in Child Care, Learning and Development, Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent.

Further training to develop your skills is available to all staff.

A drivers licence would be an advantage but not a necessity.

Good Rates of Pay


Responsibilities:


  • To be a key worker who work with individual families focusing specifically on the promotion of parenting skills where there are safeguarding and other concerns and agree joint work plans to achieve positive change and development
  • To promote the understanding and importance of key parenting skills and appropriate behaviours to help parents reach their full potential.
  • To report and record observations of babies and young children's learning and development and document.
  • To record observations and maintain accurate record keeping.
  • Monitor parenting behaviours including interaction with their children and feeding back to the key worker / social worker
  • To undertake direct work with families in the residential family centre and community which safeguards and promotes the positive development of their children and young people using a solution focused approach.
  • To support family education sessions.
  • To provide oneone care of babies
  • To work as part of the nights team and on a rota basis.

Part-time hours: 37 per week
