Location:

We are looking for a practical multiskilled person to join our team.

This role would suit a Carpenter / Woodworker and or Steel Building erector who would be motivated by completing bespoke projects.

You will be responsible for taking the drawings from the design team and creating the required components in the workshop.

You will be making sub-assemblies from both steel and timber for a range of our different buildings and cycle parking products.

You will also be going on-site, erecting a range of buildings and installing our unique cycle parking products. In time, we will be looking for you to lead an erecting team.

You will need to have good problem-solving skills and be able to work on your own or as part of a team.

Role & Responsibilities

• Workshop based subassembly and creation
• Onsite installations of cycle parking components, structures, roof, vertical and horizontal cladding systems in both domestic and commercial environments.
• Reporting to the Project Engineer or Design Manager of workshop or site activity and progress
• Ensure HSE performance on site
• Onsite liaison with the Principal Contractor's Site Manager, when H-B Designs are not Principal Contractor
• Undertake project completion handovers

Required Skills & Experience

• Be able to read and understand drawings and follow safe working practices in the preassembly and erection of structural steelwork at low and high levels. Must have experience as a Contracts Supervisor or timber/steel frame site foreman
