Sister/ Charge Nurse - Ophthalmology Lead

Banbury, Oxfordshire

£40,000 - £51,000

Eclypse Recruitment are seeking to recruit a Senior Nurse/ Sister to join their new Ophthalmology nursing service at this hospital in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

Purpose built catering for up to 40 patients facilities includes operating theatres, physiotherapy,outpatient and diagnostic radiography department

As Clinical Lead, you will assist the senior clinical managers in the delivery and management of patient care for Ophthalmology procedures throughout their clinical journey.

You will provide guidance, support and clinical expertise and leadership to the clinical team, while working closely with the senior team to ensure effective use of hospital resources.

DUTIES:

Responsibility for organising and managing the activities of the Ophthalmology suite ensuring an efficient and effective service to all users whilst maintaining high standards of clinical care and safety
Supporting the Operational management of patient bookings, considering correct scheduling and staffing levels
Provide clinical expertise in specialist area and act as a resource to proactively enhance the service to our clients
Lead the ophthalmology team providing clinical and professional advice and support
Ensure equipment is maintained/serviced
Support the clinical governance agenda and care management processes within the department and assist senior managers to provide an efficient and effective service
Assist in managing departmental budgeting effectively and efficiently
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing high quality pre and postoperative patient care
To be responsible for coordinating and maintaining stock levels of drugs, stores and implants liaising with the relevant departments

We can consider Clinicians from any background as long as you have an interest in Ophthalmology we can look at ward, theatre any other acute backgrounds as long as you have worked at a senior level previously
