John Ross Funeral Services has been serving the communities of Badenoch and Strathspey and beyond for over 130 years.

We are a family run firm, now in its fifth generation.

We pride ourselves in providing excellence when organising and arranging funeral services, ensuring an exceptionally high level of care and professionalism.

The Role

• Support and assist the team to ensure each funeral ceremony is carried out in exact accordance with the wishes of the client
• Responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of our funeral home and grounds
• Ensure our funeral fleet is presented to the highest standard including cleaning and valeting vehicles after each service
• Driver of all vehicles in our fleet
• Preparation of the deceased in a professional, caring and dignified manner
• Preparation of coffins and ashes caskets
• Coffin bearer
• Participation in our on call rota to maintain our 24 hour service

• An excellent eye for detail
• An effective communicator, with the ability to establish positive relationships with our clients and stakeholders
• Highly organised with a strong work ethic and the ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively
• Appreciation for the sensitive nature of our work and a good understanding of client confidentiality
• A smart appearance
• A full UK driver's licence held for a minimum of two years
• Previous experience is not required, full training will be given

Salary and Benefits Offered
Starting salary of £26000 plus additional pay for out of hours work
