Lead Trading Underwriter - Salary £38,000 to £42,500 p/a
Location - Birmingham OR Bristol

Are you someone with a passion for underwriting? Are you an expert in the Insurance industry and are looking to take your next career step?

Aviva are looking for experienced Lead Underwriters from any location nationally to join us to be aligned to a portfolio of brokers/customers to proactively develop and profitably grow their commercial book of business within Aviva

In this Lead role you will be responsible for mentoring and coaching less experienced colleagues in writing and winning more complex, higher value business, whilst maintaining a multiclass underwriter approach when dealing end to end with brokers/customers.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

Expert knowledge of Insurance and Commercial underwriting, experience of property, motor and/or liability is desirable.
Excellent communication, listening, time management and negotiating skills.
Analysis of risks and ability to communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customers.
Excellent business development/customer engagement skills in order to influence key contacts in the marketplace.

What you'll get for this role:

Starting salary between £38,000 and £42,500 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
