About the Role

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Deputy Lead Sonographer to become a valuable member of our ultrasound team within our organisation.

Operating within a nurse and midwife-led setting, the Deputy Lead Sonographer will have a reporting relationship with the Clinical Excellence Lead - Ultrasound and will receive guidance and support from regional and clinic-based scan mentors.

The primary responsibility of the Deputy Lead Sonographer is to assist in delivering top-quality ultrasound services to our clients.

Collaborating closely with the Clinical Excellence Lead - Ultrasound, the Deputy Lead Sonographer will play a crucial role in achieving specific goals and objectives aimed at upholding the highest standards of ultrasound practice within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership:

Assist in leading our ultrasound team to new heights by supporting our Clinical Excellence Lead - Ultrasound in achieving our goals.


Client-Centred Care:
Provide exceptional ultrasound services to our valued clients, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care.

Innovation:
Contribute to the development and implementation of cutting-edge ultrasound techniques and practices.

Mentorship:
Inspire and guide your colleagues to excel in their roles, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
About You
To perform this role, it is essential that you have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience post registration experience in gynaecology/maternity/sexual and reproductive health care (essential)
  • Mentorship/staff supervision qualification or equivalent experience (essential)
  • Experience of designing and conducting clinical audit (desirable)
  • Experience of policy development and implementation (desirable)
  • Experience of investigation of clinical incidents (desirable)
  • BSc in Radiography, or other health care profession (e.g., Nursing, Midwifery) (essential)
  • Postgraduate qualification in Ultrasound (essential)
  • Registered with professional body (e.g., NMC, HCPC) (essential)
