We currently have a

Regional Sampling Coordinator (Waste) position available for a motivated individual to join our team in

Exeter and/or St Austell Joining us on a full-time basis, you will receive a competitive salary of

£29,500 per annum plus excellent benefits.


About the role
***As the Regional Sampling Coordinator, you will schedule and co-ordinate the delivery of sampling programmes, and any other operational or special monitoring programmes, and all associated reporting requirements in accordance with the OSM management and operation rules for water companies as available on the GOV.UK website.

You will also ensure that standards are maintained and improved through a quality assurance approach. Undertaking an annual review of the Company's quality management activities associated with ISO17025 and ISO9001.


What you'll be doing:


  • Develop and implement the regulatory waste water quality sampling programmes to achieve the mandatory and operational monitoring requirements
  • Update the OSM sampling procedures including Site Specific Work Instructions (SSWIs) undertaking an annual review of the Company's quality management activities associated with Waste Water Quality Monitoring and onsite testing
  • Day to day management of the Waste Water Quality Technicians (WWQT); Recruit, develop and review the performance of the WWQT providing training and guidance where required
  • Undertake the annual assessments of the WWQTs ensuring the UKAS requirements relating to competency are met
  • Monitor, operate and further develop the sample management system including data preregistration and mobile computing
  • Maintenance of the equipment register including the coordination of the calibration and repair schedules
  • To provide cover for regulatory waste water sampling
  • Conduct internal audits to evaluate the efficiency and accuracy of staff and the data recording methods and systems. Provide reports and additional training if required

What we are looking for:


  • A proven track record of operational and/or scientific experience of the Water Industry
  • Knowledge and experience of OSM Regulations
  • Team Management experience
  • Capable of clear and concise communication, both verbal and written
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a diverse range of competing responsibilities
  • Full UK Drivers Licence
