The role

We're recruiting for either a part qualified Accounts Semi Senior or a qualified Accounts Senior to join an enthusiastic and hardworking team and although an agricultural background is not essential, a passion and interest in agriculture would be an advantage.

Within these roles you would prepare accounts for Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships whilst completing Tax returns. This will include resolving queries, contacting clients, and identifying appropriate issues to raise with senior members ofthe team.

To prepare accounts for Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships whilst completing Tax and VAT returns. Liaising with clients and managers.

A Senior will be responsible for managing a small portfolio of medium/small farming clients and assist on large assignments. To also be responsible for supervising the work of more junior colleagues and providing support where needed.

Accounts preparation and reviewing accounts
Liaising with clients, providing guidance and managing client expectations
Working knowledge of all relevant accounts preparation and disclosure requirements
Preparing accounts files from planning document and with limited supervision
Delegating tasks to junior member of the team, supervising their work and providing guidance
Establishing professional rapport with colleagues and clients to ensure work is conducted effectively and efficiently
Attending client meetings
Preparing and reviewing tax returns and assisting with tax planning
Attendance at networking events and dealing with prospect/potential client proposals

What we need from you

2 to 3 years+ accountancy practice experience
To be a confident and collaborative team player
Excellent people skills and the ability to demonstrate outstanding customer service to clients
Selfmotivation and a strong work ethic
