Funeral Operative

Full -Time Position 37.5 hours per week ( plus on call 1 week in 5)


Location :
Penwortham, Preston, Lancashire

Salary is £22k to £24k based on experience.

We require a Funeral Operative to join our well established local independent Funeral Home. We have over 30 years of dedicated service and operate five Funeral Homes.

You will require a clean full UK driving licence and be able to demonstrate the ability to respond calmly and compassionately in sensitive situations.

As a Funeral Operative, your responsibilities will include collecting the deceased from various locations and circumstances with professionalism and empathy


Key duties entail:

• Assisting in the handling of coffins and driving funeral vehicles
• Ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of equipment, facilities and vehicles
• Assisting in the preparation of the deceased for viewings and funeral services
• A client focused approach with keen attention to detail
• The ability to remain composed and empathetic in emotionally charged situations
• Physical capability for manual lifting and other associated tasks
