Purpose of the Role
This exciting new remote based opportunity has arisen to join our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team.

Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you will be working closely with the Finance Business Partners, Finance Directors and CFOs to support them in deliveringtimely and accurate insight to the Advisory business.

This will include understanding the key business drivers and using these to create fact-based budgets and forecasts, alongside in-depth analysis of key business metrics and production of insight-drivencommentary and dashboards.


What you will do
This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities.

Collaborating with your Line Manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following and more.


Monthly Reporting & MI

  • Ensure that business performance is measured, analysed, explained and understood through the delivery of key performance indicators on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis as appropriate.
  • Understand results and trends within the business, providing analysis that allows leadership teams to deliver on their operational responsibilities and take actions to drive performance.
  • Have an awareness of the profitability of the differing streams of business to help drive the strategy for the division.
  • Ensure the identification and communication of specific competitive/market issues to prompt mitigating, preemptive actions.
  • Drive and add to the successful execution of the Advisory strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial matters relating to the FCA.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

  • Improve budget and forecast processes.
  • Deliver best in class cash forecasting, including liquidity, leverage and financial risk appetites.
  • Review the overall Business Plan in line with the Group's longer term (5 year) plans and objectives and provide inputs to the strategic planning process.
  • Coordinate and oversee the analysis of business targets, current forecasts and conduct root cause analysis of missed targets.
  • Supporting the Platform CFO, Segment CFOs, FDs and Finance Business Partners in their forwardlooking analysis of the business, in particular:
  • Monthly MI Reporting packs where necessary
  • YoY trend analysis
  • Insight into company performance
- 'What if' scenario planning

  • Budget and forecasting
  • Cost Review

Audit

  • Support the audit programme (internal/external) as appropriate.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who has/is:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or QBE) with strong experience in financial forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Expertise in management accounting, financial performance reporting and financial control.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Financial planning and analysis experience, preferably in an insurance environment.
  • Strength to work under pressure and be adaptable to change.
