Duties:


The purpose of this position is to perform work involved in preparing dining room or party room, serving food, wine and other alcoholic beverages and subsequent cleaning functions.


  • Assists in the setup of tables using clean linen, napkins, silverware, glasses, condiment holders and any centerpiece if used.
  • Prepares side work area for any extras needed during the meal.
  • Duties involve working buffet, events or restaurant style dining receives, seats guests, takes and places guests' orders, responds to guest queries. Secures food items from kitchen and places dishes by course in front of each guest.
  • Clear, clean tables and resets tables in preparation. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards in work areas at all times.
  • Performs other duties.

  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
  • This position is only open to applicants on PCS orders (military or civilian) to the UK, or who hold a UK work visa.
  • Applicants must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for working with and/or serving alcoholic beverages (18 years old).
  • Must be able to obtain a Food Handler'sCertificate and/or complete food handler's training.

Qualifying Experience:


  • No previous experience required.
  • Experience or training in proper food handling and serving techniques is desirable.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of suitability and fitness for the position


Education:

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
