An exciting opportunity to join a global supplier of specialist industrial equipment and consumables as a Field Service Technician.

Reporting to the Field Operations Team Leader, you will be responsible for repairing, servicing and installing retail weighingand food preparation equipment at contract and non-contract multiple and independent retail outlets based in North London and related Home Counties.

What you'll be doing:

Providing breakdown, preventative maintenance services and software upgrades to retail weighing and food preparation equipment at retail sites
Carry out installations of weighing and food preparation equipment on customer sites
Responsible for the accurate management and ordering of spare part stock to ensure a high level of first time fix
Ensure stock is kept safe and secure as part of this process and to physically quality check equipment used to carry out the role
Identify and sign up new business and chargeable work while out in the territory in order to make an individual contribution to the financial performance of the business
Participate in a 'standby' rota for evening and weekend cover (one week in three) and also to be available to participate in planned 'out of hours' installations and upgrades

Skills helpful for the role:

Demonstrable field service experience, ideally within mechanical, electrical or mechatronics sector
Previous experience within the specialist equipment industry is advantageous
Full driving licence
