Our client is a manufacturing company who specialise in electronic manufacturing.

They only use services accredited to certified quality standards and have an excellent team of dedicated staff to keep up their high standards of work.

They are currentlylooking for a
Buyer to join their hardworking and dedicated team.

As a
Buyer you will place purchase order for materials against an approved vendor base, follow up on and take full ownership of Purchase orders to ensure that materials are shipped and delivered in line with the schedule dates.

You will also maintainrecords and follow up files of purchases, shipments and related matters.

Experience within a similar buying role
Demonstrable experience within an electromechanical/electronics/box build manufacturing environment
Be able to work to strict deadlines whilst staying composed
Ability to communicate in a professional manner at all levels of the organisation
Possess excellent time management skills
Have a good attention to detail and a methodical work approach
Be familiar and confident with Microsoft Office, particularly excel
Knowledge of SAP or similar windowsbased systems within a material control function
Ability to demonstrate and report precise delivery and cost information to key personnel
Be able to positively influence suppliers with view to achieve cost and delivery targets

Your duties as a Buyer would be:

Placing purchase orders for materials against an approved vendor base, ensuring best value and quality
Follow up on and take full ownership of Purchase orders to ensure that materials are shipped and delivered in line with the scheduled dates
Maintain records and follow up files of purchases, shipments and related matters
Working closely with the Production Team by ensuring planned product builds are shortage free and reporting on the same
Maintaining the SAP system in line with company procedures
Performing other related activities and tasks within the Materials Team as required, as part of company's approach to cross functional working

Salary:

£28,000 - £30,000 per annum

Hours:

Monday - Thursday, 7.30am - 4.30pm and Friday 7.30am - 1.30pm
