Reporting into the Operations Director, this role would suit an Inventory Manager, Stock Manager (Logistics or Supply Chain background), Warehouse Manager or Site Manager - ideally used to working within an ECommerce and/or B2B setting.


THE ROLE:


  • Full Site Management responsibility for an overall headcount of 5060 people.
  • Management of full site operations on behalf of the business. Specific responsibilities will be across Warehouse functions such as Stock/Inventory, Goods In, Pick/Pack, Despatch & Health & Safety.
  • There will be a strong focus on Stock/Inventory control.
  • Manage Inventory for a highprofile Distribution Centre in the Castle Donington area including PI, Stock-Turns and Analysis.
  • This is a frontfoot, handson Manager position that will liaise with the shopfloor.
  • Utilisation of KPI's & Processes in order to manage performance.
  • Strong use of Excel and databased systems.
  • Use of data to drive decisions.
  • The Inventory Manager will monitor and improve KPI metrics including productivity, volumes, space fill, etc.
  • Adopt and foster a 'Change Mentality' and inspire other people to take the same approach.
  • Make recommendations to the leadership about proposed Logistics changes.
  • This position is basically a defacto "Site Manager" role.

THE PERSON:


  • Exposure as a Warehouse Manager, Site Manager, General Manager, Inventory Manager or Stock Manager within a Logistics or Supply Chain setting.
  • Strong experience of Inventory/Stock Control as well as Goods In, Pick/Pack, Despatch & Health & Safety.
- 'Can-Do' mentality - this site prides itself on people who take a 'front-foot' mentality to problems & challenges.

  • Able to grasp the wide breadth of the business and get involved with whatever areas need improving.
  • IT savvy able to use IT systems to a medium to advanced level.
  • Management of relationship with final mile couriers.
  • Clear and effective communicator.
  • Able to liase with Boardlevel to shopfloor level colleagues.
  • Able to think beyond the obvious.
  • Open to new ideas and with a viewpoint that "anything is possible".
