Job description - the role

We are looking for a
Skilled Machinist for a
12 month contract based in
Solihull on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.


As a Skilled Machinist you will be responsible for:

  • Working to our clients Technical Instructions to deliver consistent, high-quality machining and inspection processes across a variety of different components and product families.
  • Operating a variety of CNC machines including 9 axis Doosan machining centres with FANUC control.
  • Operating a variety of measuring equipment, including, micrometres, plug gauges, and surface finish equipment.
  • Correct interpretation of manufacturing drawings, customer drawings, written specifications and understanding programmes
  • Work within a team to effectively to ensure we hit our customer commitments.
  • Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, technical instruction, and asset care.
  • An individual who is confident to work alone or part of a team and will strive to achieve delivery commitments.
  • Will have a strong awareness of H&S and inspection visual technique.

Additional:


  • The duration of this Skilled Machinist contract will be working on Nightshift (10pm6am)
