Description
Big Button is looking for 2 Production Assistant Apprentices for their team - Responsible for providing support to the production and post-production teams, including producer/directors, editors and motion graphics designers; assisting on video shoots; capture and archiving of rushes; basic edit tasks; general support duties.
Responsible for providing support to the production and post-production teams, including producer/directors, editors and motion graphics designers; assisting on video shoots; capture and archiving of rushes; basic edit tasks; general support duties.
PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT
- Assist in the planning and preparation of video projects including organising shoot crews, shoot logistics and related services such as voice over, translation, travel etc.
- Assisting on video shoots (including overnight stays away from home)
- Supporting the company's awards entry timetable, and assisting in the preparation of awards entries
- Managing the company's social media calendar
- Using Adobe Suite and image libraries to prepare proposals for projects
- Preparing templated reports and distributing them to client stake holders
PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT
- Capturing rushes, managing data and operating archival systems
- Supporting the postproduction team with editing and encoding of video, research and preparation of image and graphics files, and sourcing music
- Ensuring that all output meets the highest creative and technical standards
- Develop beginnerintermediate status in DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Creative Suite and other software tools related to postproduction
GENERAL
To undertake any other general and administrative duties when required, e.g. telephone answering, cleaning, errands
Basic IT proficiency is required (preferably experience with MS Office and Adobe Suite), but training will be provided in all aspects of the role

- Aware of the importance of accuracy and checking; working towards output that is 'right first time'
- Good written English skills
- Observing all aspects of the company's Health and Safety policies, and actively contributing to a safe working environment
- Ability to work highly effectively as part of a team, and enthusiastic about communicating and collaborating with colleagues
- An understanding of the company's focus and values, and how the role fits into them

- Inquisitive about technical and creative trends in video production
- Inquisitive about the company, its objectives, clients, and key verticals
- Basic/developing skills in film roduction, with an emphasis on supporting more senior operators
- A solid understanding of the company's technical systems and processes
- Minimal; may meet clients on shoots or in the office occasionally
- Understands the importance of being a good ambassador for Big Button
- To act as a brand ambassador for Big Button and market the business at every available opportunity
- To pass leads and potential opportunities to the Client Services Director and/or Production Director immediately
- All work will be planned effectively and meet deadlines without the need for overtime
- Meet minimum levels of productivity for the role as outlined by senior management
- Meet defined milestones and deadlines for the apprenticeship programme
- Accuracy, checking, and adherence to agreed processes for each task
- Equipment faults to be reported to line manager within 24 hours
- General support tasks and 'housekeeping' duties completed every week as agreed with line manager

Maths and English Level 2/GCSE at Grade C/4 or above.
Training to be provided
You will be completing a Production Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship with Creative Alliance.
You will have training on the job and off the job with the award winning, creative specilaised provider Creative Alliance.
