Accounts Payable Assistant

Location:
Basildon (On-site during probation)

Salary:
£Negotiable + Benefits

GRP Group, part of Brown & Brown Inc.

are looking to add further strength and depth to our team with the addition of an Accounts Payable Clerk to the team.

As a unit they are brilliant at keeping the ball rolling and ensuring everything gets transacted within agreed timeframes.

We've been growing exceptionally well over the last few years and with no intention on slowing down the team and progression opportunities we can offer in the mid term will only expand.

The day to day:

Diligently entering Invoices into the general ledger software, ensuring invoices are both Valid and Accurate with correct authorisation in place
Preparing bank reconciliations for review
Prepare online bank payments
Assist with the onboarding of new businesses into the GRP Ledger
Review and setup new suppliers on the system
Actively respond to queries from internal stakeholders and 3rd party suppliers

About you:

You'll have a grounding in purchase ledger work (or similar) and be looking for somewhere to continue to develop within a larger environment
A skill set that includes good communication (both written and verbal), numerical and IT skills coupled with the ability to use MS Excel to a good standard.
Additionally you'll need strong attention to detail to ensure all information is entered accurately and coded correctly.
You should also be comfortable in being in the office 5 days a week
