**Audit Senior

Guildford

Salary up to 60k DOE + Benefits + Bonus**This is an excellent opportunity for a finalist or qualified accountant that has recent experience of auditing in practice to join an established and well regarded independent Accountancy firm based near Guildford.

The successful Audit Senior will have primary responsibility for a portfolio of audit clients encompassing commercial and not for profit organisations.

There are exciting opportunities for progression and full study support is available if required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carry out and provide high quality audit services
Act as the senior on audits, responsible for the planning of the audit file right through to the completion sections including drafting the financial statements, the management letter and the letter of representation
Responsible for managing a team of up to four staff. You will supervise, brief and effectively delegate work to less experienced members of the audit team
In addition to working in a team, you will have sole execution of some smaller audit mandates
Form good relationships with and gain detailed understanding of client's requirements
Make recommendations on how clients can improve their accounting systems and controls
Appraise other members of the team following completion of the jobs worked on

DESIRED SKILLS:

ACA or ACCA part qualified
Previous experience of working within an Accountancy Practice.
You should be confident in all areas of Accountancy and Audit
Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Experience of an electronic audit programme
Experience of Xero, a knowledge of Sage would be an advantage
Good interpersonal skills
Good telephone manner and communication skills
Excellent integrity and ethical standards

SALARY:

A salary of up to 60k DOE is available.

HOURS:

9am to 5pm Monday to Friday

LOCATION:

Near Guildford - 2/3 days in the office and 2/3 days attending client premises.

Given the location and job role, a full driving licence is essential.
