THE ROLE

  • Reporting into the Head of Brand Creative
  • Digital and Brand Design, our Senior Brand Designer is a role that visions and creates omnichannel high impact creative content, aligned to the product flow and business strategy. They are highly visual, highly contemporary custodians of the brand code. This is a skillset that can be applied to all medias including digital and physical, and thinks omnichannel, from creating compelling events in physical stores to inspiring consumers on digital or social channels. They will be able to partner successfully with asset production, product creation and the commercial channels, as well as being a key partner in creative collaboration outside of our own business in developing collaborations of capsules.
  • Being able to work on full projects end to end, you will bring the energy and the strategy of Ted Baker to life with consistency and high creative capability. You'll lead a small team, making team leadership and project management key to the success of the role. You will be responsible for delegating all briefs as well as generating and managing the brand team's conceptual ideas and polished executions, ensuring that they meet Ted Baker's exacting standards.
  • With an allround knowledge and experience in a highly versatile skill set across both print and digital, you will know the best design practice to create engaging concepts that are on brief, and on brand. You'll thrive in a fastpaced environment having the ability to work on multiple briefs and confidently presenting ideas back to the business. Here at Ted Baker, we are looking for someone that brings real enthusiasm and confidence to the business with a proactive approach to pushing the brand's creativity further. Above all, you'll need to be a guardian of what makes something 'Ted Baker', delivering engaging and thoughtprovoking ideas that reflect and enhance the brand in global markets.
  • Total reports: 4 (Brand Designer 3x, Junior Brand Designer)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing a team of Brand Designers
  • Project management of key global marketing projects
  • Areas that you must be able to work within are as follows:
  • Idea concept generation
  • Branding and identity
  • Creative desk proposals
  • Instore POS, graphics and signage
  • Responsible for the tone of voice for both seasonal and promotional campaigns
  • Product branding and packaging direction for both own brand and thirdparty partners
  • Developing product branding and labels, including swing tickets and all onproduct trim
  • Creating visual displays for windows and event spaces
  • Maintaining brand visual identity and ensuring consistency across all projects
  • Collaboration with other areas of the business
  • Overseeing workflows across the team
  • Ability to concept, ideate and art direct brand moments and photo shoots
  • Experience in working with copywriters

TOOLS OF THE TRADE

  • Strong level of experience within Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Sound knowledge of IT packages
  • Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent knowledge and skills in typography and layout
  • Highly experienced in ideas generation
  • Excellent time management
  • Proven budget and project and campaign management skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage conflicting deadlines
  • Strong visualisation skills
  • Good understanding of print and production processes
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to manage and organise briefs
  • Experience briefing illustrators, art workers and suppliers
  • Experience in working with copywriting
  • Confident presenter who is able to articulate and sell in ideas and concepts
