Teaching Assistant (SEND)
Age Range: - 7 years
NOR:
120 plus 24 FS1
Start date:
As soon as possible (March 2023)
Contract:
Fixed term until 31 October 2023 (term time + INSETs - 39 weeks per year)
Possibility of extension to contract, dependant on funding.
Grade:
Grade C, Pay Point £21,575 - £21,968 1FTE) _Please note that the salary will be prorated for part-time/term time working._
Hours & Working Pattern: 30 hours - Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3pm
The Governors at St Chad's CofE Nursery and Infant School wish to appoint an experienced, caring and passionate Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming and friendly school family to deliver personalised provision under the guidance of the class teacher and outside agency input.
This role will involve providing some classroom support, working with small groups of children and also working on a 1:1 basis with children with special educational needs.
Applicants will have experience of working in a school environment and supporting children with SEND, particularly those with ASD and SEMH.
Given the complex needs of some of our children, this post requires a teaching assistant who is willing and able to support manual handling, medical and intimate care needs, given appropriate training.
