Working in tandem with a Senior Business Partner or Finance Director, you'll wield your financial acumen to challenge existing assumptions, influence pivotal decisions, and formulate recommendations for optimising efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the accuracy of financial records, compliance, business financial plans and forecasts and mange month end processes including P&L and Balance Sheet management
  • Support business leaders to deliver contractual obligations through identification of over and under delivery, performing root cause analysis, and making recommendations
  • Understand the value drivers of the business and provide guidance on contract / service performance including scenario planning, KPI analysis and benchmarking
  • Support the contract strategy through contractual change control notifications and liaison with the account management regarding reconciliation of spend and changes to service delivery, changes to buildings / assets / sites / locations / other changes
  • Support business leaders to deliver contractual obligations through identification of over and under delivery, performing root cause analysis, and making recommendations
  • Working closely with the account teams to ensure optimisation of processes and spend as well as an accurate and consistent approach to profitable growth
  • Develop customer relationships to support successful commercial and financial negotiations regarding variable revenue, rebids and change notices. In addition mange key contract deliverable / contractual financial commitments (e.g. reconciliations and reporting) for the client in line with the contract
  • Proactive identification, assessment and management of financial and commercial risks

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Extensive experience working in a Finance organisation, preferably within a similar industry
  • Experience in a similar role within a multisite business is desirable
  • Capability of adding value in a commercially orientated bidding and contracting environment.
  • Evidence of strong understanding of the importance of process and control within Commercial.
  • Evidence of ability to influence, negotiate, listen to and resolve conflicts with decision makers
  • Ability to highlight problems, offer practical solutions, and support their execution
  • Commercial acumen, as well as experience of understanding relationships between key financial and nonfinancial business value drivers.
  • Evidence of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Evidence of building trust with a team; allowing direct conversations and not sanitising message
  • Experience of having worked successfully in a virtual team
