Purpose of the job:
To assist the work of the Directors and Account Managers in planning, implementing and evaluating targeted public relations, social media and marketing campaigns, across print, digital and broadcast.
Project management and assisting with consortia management- Project/Relationship Management
- Ensure effective communication with clients is maintained and respond promptly to enquiries
- Monitor and manage project time and activity levels in line with agreed targets
- Attend client meetings as required
- Prepare schedules, reports, minutes and suitable project documentation, within the context of planning and implementing marketing and PR campaigns and to inform and update clients
- Undertake research to assist with preparation of marketing/media plans/strategies
- Maintain appropriate and efficient internal systems for the smooth running of the office and client accounts, including action plans/contact lists/jobs lists/progress reports etc
- PR/Marketing Project Planning
- Assist with research and preparation of PR/marketing/social media plans/strategies
- Ensure campaign activity is in line with client's project briefs, deliverables, timescales and budgets
- Manage own workload and ensure a balanced delivery of support and contribution across functions; demonstrate a professional and organised approach
- Assist in implementing targeted public relations and marketing campaigns to deadlines and on budget
- Implement a range of evaluation/reporting methods and techniques appropriate to each project
- Maintain a high standard of communication amongst the team, with clients and suppliers
- PR/Marketing Project Delivery
- Undertake tasks related to website development and management including producing content, creating campaigns, undertaking performance analysis and evaluation
- Creating social media campaigns and integrating this activity with other marketing and PR channels
- Creating emarketing campaigns and materials using a variety of tools and systems
- Keeping up to date with trends and the sector to help inform campaigns
- Research, manage and maintain press/media contact lists
- Assist in researching and writing press releases, editorial and features
- Assist in securing press coverage through press releases and in followup contact
- Assist with photo calls, photo opportunities and press visits
- Collate and present press cuttings for clients; implement monitoring and analysis systems and methods, produce PR evaluation reports/analytics as appropriate
- Assist with organising corporate, public and PR events on behalf of clients, including sourcing venues, co
- Attend events/exhibitions for individual clients and consortia
- Assist with production of printed materials including copy writing, sourcing images and approvals processes
- Assist in managing appropriate distribution of promotional literature
- Liaison with suppliers as required
- Research appropriate media in line with advertising strategies and plans
- Liaison with publications, designers, clients for production and approval of adverts
- Support activity to secure appropriate partnerships and/or sponsorship for client projects and campaigns and assist the delivery of agreed benefits/returns
- To help develop client accounts to ensure we are maximising all revenue potential
- To assist in identifying new business leads and conducting sales activity as required
- Attend external events and represent Bonner & Hindley at meetings and presentations as required
- Carry out any other duties as may reasonably be expected of the post and its operation
- Working on occasional weekends, evenings and may be required
Education/qualifications needed
Experience/skills needed
- At least 1 years' experience of working in a marketing/communications/clientfocused environment
- Experience or knowledge of the tourism/hospitality/cultural sectors is desirable
