About the Practice/Department/Team
The Patient Services teams are made up of reception/prescription/secretary and administration. All of which are an integral part of the running of the surgery.

All members of the teams help with answering the telephone at 8.00am and whenever is needed to aid keeping the calls at a minimum.

You will be trained in each team to be able to support each team when needed, working within the procedures in each department.


Job Introduction


This is a position working within the reception team answering incoming calls to the surgery and dealing with reception related administration work.

It will also involve working on the reception desk and receiving patients and other visitors to the surgery and dealing with their queries.

You will be trained on all the relevant procedures for the department.


What you will do
- - answering the telephone_
- - working on the front desk_
- - issuing prescriptions_
- - completing reception related administration work_


Essential Criteria

  • Customer Service Skills
  • Experience of working in a busy & multi-functional team
  • Call centre experience or equivalent
  • Experience of using Microsoft office packages
