Accommodation Executive - UK Group Department

Overview:

Our client is an established and fast-growing Destination Management company with offices in the UK and Ireland.

They are looking for an Accommodation Executive for the UK Group Department either in their Edinburgh office (hybrid role) or London office (remote).The successful applicant must have experience in the tourism industry and is fluent in English and German.


Benefits and pay range:

- £dependent on experience. Permanent, Full Time Position

  • Mon
  • Fri 9:00 5:00pm
  • Hybrid or remote working option, + excellent company benefits

Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Placement of group accommodation requirements according to buy rates or cheaper
  • Processing of cancellations/amendments/overbookings/waitlists and all other administrative tasks
  • Work with Business Development teams on accommodation requirements

Requirements and Qualifications:


  • Confident in negotiating with external suppliers
  • Extensive knowledge of the UK hotel market
  • Knowledge of the geography of the United Kingdom
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail
  • Methodical, orderly and accurate. Must be able to work to strict deadlines and respond effectively to new tasks
  • Flexibility and adaptability in approach
  • Team player able to work in a busy environment
